About This Project
**##Overview##**Putra Heights is a residential township, with a small commercial centre, located South-West of Kuala Lumpur city and East of Port Klang. Its area size is 1,796 acres (727 hectares) and was developed in 1999 by Sime UEP Properties Bhd for lower-middleclass to middleclass to upper-middleclass residents. The population here comprises roughly 46% Malay, 9.5% Indian, 37% Chinese and 6.5% others is adjacent to areas like Subang Jaya, Puchong, Kota Kemuning, Taman Bunga Alam as well as Klang River and semi-rural land in the south. It has a famous hill, called Bukit Cermin, well known for being a great bicycling hill which stands out quite prominently. There are prestigious areas like Putra Palms, The Glades and Kingsley Hills together, with other precincts like Laman Putra, Putra Avenue, Putra Bistari and Grandis Point, spread out over this very green and peaceful development. Although LRT services began here in end-June 2016, there has been some property price devaluations, by about 10% to 20% on average, from end 2016 to April 2017. The buildings here are mainly 2 storey terrace houses, semi-detached homes, bungalows, low-density villas, condominiums, flats and apartments, and shop lots, etc. The important roads here like Persiaran Putra Indah, Persiaran Putra Perdana, Jalan Petaling and others, are well planned and maintained, wide with trees and palms lining them complete with grassy green buffer zones and kerbed nature strips. The minor roads servicing the housing estates are neat and tidy while the homes are mostly in good condition with nice facades.**##Amenities & Facilities##**This mainly gated with 24-hour security residential development has a relatively small commercial centre with retail outlets and food outlets like 99-Speedmart, Dominos, cafes, hardware shops, hotels, boutiques, hair salons, Pizza Hut, The Foodies Caf, First Care Pharmacy, and, etc. There are a few banks with 2 Bank Islam branches within, as well as a few petrol stations around, the vicinity of Putra Point Commercial Centre. Further away, residents here have the option of doing their shopping at places like Main Place in USJ 21, One City, Empire Subang, Sunway Pyramid, USJ Taipan and Subang Parade, etc. SK Alam Megah 1, SMK Alam Megah 2, SK Alam Megah 3, SRJK Tun Tan Siew Sin and Kingsley International School are some of the schools located nearby or within Putra Heights itself. While further away Taylors, INTI, and Metropolitan Colleges which are just 15 minutes drive away also offer further studies to students from this area.Lacking here are private and government hospitals except for the ones further away like Subang Jaya Medical Centre and Columbia Asia Puchong and others. **##Accessibility & Transportation##**Accessibility to Putra Heights is easy and getting better as roads are improved especially the currently less major routes. Presently its main avenues link up with the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), which passes nearby the township, that in turn connects Putra Heights to other highways like the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP), South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) and Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS). All of which open up Klang Valley to its residents and vice-versa. The quality of all these roads and highways are top class and well maintained with good support facilities. However, public transport is lacking even though there is an existing LRT station hub at Putra Point Commercial Centre with cross-links to other areas. There is no bus service here and few taxis ply its roads which are further compounded by its relatively secluded location away from major cities. So having a car is important especially when getting around Putra Heights itself.
