The court granted MDSA Resources the interim order yesterday pending the hearing of the company's appeal against the High Court's decision rejecting the sanction of the company's scheme of arrangement with its creditors.

The sector's representatives said that a public vaccination programme is the best avenue to take, and that private sourcing of vaccines should be avoided.   

The additional vaccines expected to arrive by July include 2.2 million doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, 12 million doses of Sinovac vaccine and 1.2 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
