As of 2020, more than 7% of Malaysia’s population are aged 65 and above, officially classifying the country as an aged society by the common definition.

BTS Car Park Sdn Bhd — a wholly-owned company and car park operator of Berjaya Times Square Sdn Bhd, which in turn is owned by Berjaya Assets Bhd — is seeking to extend the tenure of its current medium term note (MTN) programme of up to RM220 million for two years. 

The project is part of the integrated waterfront mixed development project in Penang known as The Light City.
