Making homes generally affordable to local citizens should be an objective of the Malaysian housing sector.

S P Setia has launched its Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Roadmap with its first Sustainability Day at Setia City Convention Centre on May 31.  

The National House Buyers Association (HBA) has come out in support of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s plan to review conditions set for housing developers to ensure that they provide affordable housing for all mega projects developed.

Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) Malaysia is of the view that to make housing “more affordable for all rakyat, the government should be fully responsible for the delivery of affordable housing, as it was over 50 years ago, and as it is in many countries worldwide”.
