KUALA LUMPUR: Yuk Tung Group has recently been awarded the Best Development for Malaysia (Residential Category) at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2010 for its The Peak (pictured) at Bukit Prima project in Cheras. The event was held in association with Bloomberg Television on April 16 in Hong Kong.
The Peak at Bukit Prima, Cheras, is a low-density development within 54 acres of freehold land. It consists of parcels of bungalow land and units of 2 ½- and 3-storey semi-detached houses, 3-storey super link houses, and 3-storey terraced houses.
The group’s chairman, Lim Kim Chai, said the 2½- and 3-storey super link houses with dimensions of 24ft x 85ft have prices ranging from RM430,000 to RM1.2 million.
Meanwhile, the 3-storey terraced houses (22ft x 75ft) have prices ranging from RM548,000 to RM814,000, while the 2- and 3-storey semi-Ds come in three dimensions of 40ft x80ft, 40ft x 90ft and 40ft x 110ft, with prices ranging from RM716,000 to RM2.1 million. The bungalow land prices start from RM130 to RM180 per sq ft, with sizes ranging from 4,800 to 14,000 sq ft.
“The total GDV is more than RM350 million and the project is expected to be completed in June 2011,” Lim said, while a company official added that the development has seen a take-up rate of more than 90% since it was launched in end-2005 according to phases. There were three phases altogether.
According to the company’s website, the development presents the epitome of contemporary living style set within the prestigious landmark neighbourhood of Cheras.
The group’s managing director, Tan You Hock, said in a press release the group has dedicated years of effort in creating and developing homes for its buyers, completing over 2,000 quality homes and achieving the ISO 9001:2008 certification as a testament of the group’s commitment to the property development arena.
“Now, wining this award marks the start of a new level of distinction and we shall continue to develop homes and properties of high standards and values,” he added.
Among Yuk Tung’s previous projects are Taman Dagang in Ampang and SuriaMas Apartment in Bandar Sunway.
Lim added that the developer is planning new launches in prime locations within the Klang Valley this year.
