RAWANG (Feb 27): BRDB Developments Sdn Bhd will be unveiling phase 1B of its TamanSari development in Rawang – Camelia 3-storey garden terraced house (pictured) today, with selling prices from RM941,000.

According to BRDB sales and marketing general manager Kim Neoh, Camelia has a gross development value of RM161 million, with selling prices of RM310 to RM380 psf.

Camelia consists of 149 units of 3-storey garden terraced houses with built-up sizes ranging from 3,121 sq ft to 4,095 sq ft.

It is scheduled for completion in 2019.

“This is a low-density development with only seven units to an acre. Each home is designed with a minimum of three bedrooms and a maid’s room, with generously sized master bedroom and en-suite bathrooms,” she explained.

TamanSari spans 245 acres of freehold land in Rawang and will comprise 2,000 residential units of terraced houses, bungalows, and condominium and some commercial units. The 10-year township project will be developed in 16 phases, including the current Phase 1A (Amaryllis) and Phase 1B (Camelia).

The first project, Amaryllis, sits on 11.7-acre of land and was launched in May last year. As at end-January, 75% of the phase’s 117 units were taken-up.

This project is expected to be completed by 2018.

On the market outlook, Neoh noted that there is strong demand for landed properties in Rawang and notable developers have made their presence felt in the area.

“Rawang’s landscape has been continuously evolving ever since. Today, it is undergoing a makeover as new residential, commercial hub and industrial developments continue to transform the town into a vibrant, lively satellite city and these have been the major pulling factor for Rawang residents,” said Neoh.

The recently completed LATAR Expressway also improved the accessibility of Rawang -- the residents of Rawang now enjoy an easier commute to and from Kuala Lumpur through the Guthrie Corridor and the North-South Expressway.

“Besides a 55,000 sq m shopping mall by AEON Jusco, diverse financial institutions and a series of F&B outlets. Several international schools are also in the pipeline, along with the launch of essential amenities including the KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital. All these developments have shown the strong growth potential of Rawang properties,” she added.
