KUALA LUMPUR (March 5): Gamuda Land, the property arm of Gamuda Bhd, will be bringing new food and beverage (F&Bs) and education-related tenants within Gamuda Cove, Selangor in 2Q2024, according to a press statement on Monday (March 4).

The new F&B tenants are Kenangan Coffee and Long John Silver’s that are expected to open in May and July, respectively. Meanwhile, the new tenants in the education sector are Big Apple Kindergarten in April and TVET AustralAsia by Technoriant Sdn Bhd in May.

TVET AustralAsia by Technoriant Sdn Bhd will introduce the Hospitality TVET Hub training centre for students to engage in hands-on practical training.

“As the township development progresses, it is timely for us to bring in various tenants and partnerships that will strengthen the township and support a self-sustained community. We believe that when we get the places right, the town will work for the people who call it home and we are working towards achieving this for our community. This involves not only designing homes but also considering recreational, educational, health and wellness, green, and commercial spaces,” said Gamuda Cove general manager Brandon Yong.

Yong added that the developer is also in talks to bring in a Malaysian premium supermarket chain as an anchor tenant, as well as more key F&B operators to the township.

In addition, the statement highlighted the progress of the township development. The Maya Bay Residences serviced apartment and Enso Woods two-storey terraced homes are targeted for vacant possession in March and July, respectively. Upon the vacant possession, Gamuda Cove would have delivered 1,900 units of homes in total and welcomed an anticipated 7,600 residents into the townships.

Gamuda Cove will be launching 112 units of European-inspired commercial shops and offices at Cove Centrum in 3Q2024. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Furthermore, Gamuda Cove is expanding its 5G service coverage and infrastructure to bolster its smart city plans.

“Our townships serve as more than just residential areas. They are vibrant hubs for exploration, outdoor activities, social connections, work opportunities, shopping and beyond. With Gamuda Land’s established track record, accumulated over the years, we are confident in our ability to draw further strategic partnerships to Gamuda Cove, spanning healthcare, education, retail and commercial sectors. We look into the details to create a distinct sense of place for our developments, which can be seen in the success of our completed townships like Kota Kemuning, Valencia and Jade Hills,” Yong explained.
