KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 1): Country Heights Holdings Bhd has appointed its deputy managing director Dr Ricky Yip Chun Mun as the new acting MD effective Friday (Dec 1).

The appointment follows the recent stepping down of Datuk Mircle Yap Ching Chai, who will now serve as a non-independent non-executive director of the group, the property developer said in a statement.

Yip is also currently the managing director of Golden Horse Health Sanctuary (GHHS) Healthcare, GHHS Chinese Medicine Centre, and GHHS Wellness & Spa.

According to Country Heights, Yip has recruited over 40,000 members for GHHS Healthcare and generated over RM1 billion in sales revenue for the group.

The board of directors is confident that Dr Ricky Yip’s appointment will mark a new chapter for Country Heights, as the group welcomes its 40th year anniversary next year and is looking forward to achieving new milestones under the new leadership," Country Heights said.

On his stewardship of the company, Yip said his focus will be on leveraging Country Heights' strengths in the real estate sector while embracing digital transformation to ensure it remains at the forefront of the industry.

"I am honoured to take on the role of acting managing director at Country Heights, especially as we approach our 40th anniversary. This is a company with a rich history and a bright future, and I am excited to lead the group into a new era of growth and innovation," he said.

Shares of Country Heights were up 0.5 sen or 1.61% at 31.5 sen apiece at Friday's market close, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM92.4 million.
