KAJANG (July 5): A new initiative by S P Setia Bhd dubbed Setia i-Home to include sustainable features in all its incoming landed homes was launched today.

With Setia i-Home, the new landed residential homes will be equipped with smart features such as Smart Home System that allows homeowners to manage multiple switches via a mobile app, Green Switch that lets residents power off non-essential appliances upon leaving home, and Smart Door Lock that enables one to unlock the front door with your thumbprint or mobile app. 

To further help homeowners reduce their carbon footprint and energy consumption, Setia i-Home properties will also include an electronic vehicle (EV) charging port, solar panels switch ready with pre-installed wiring, and rainwater harvesting system collects 80 litres of rainwater for household use.

For better indoor air quality, S P Setia partnered with Panasonic to equip future Setia i-Home properties with air quality systems. There’s also Box 366, a contactless food and parcel dropbox, that ensures your parcels and food are delivered safely to you.

“As sustainable living has become more critical, it is essential for us to embrace new technologies that help us minimise our impact on the environment. Setia i-Home is our response to this pressing need. It is also part of our commitment to being the leader in creating sustainable communities and enriching lifestyles,” said Datuk Tan Hon Lim, S P Setia executive vice president, who officiated the launch.

The full features of Setia i-Home, which include a Smart Home System and a smart switch, will only be available for new landed residential homes priced from RM1.5 million and above, said Tan during the roundtable Q&A at today’s launch.

All Setia i-Home features align with S P Setia’s commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2050.
