• NCT said the MOU demonstrates its commitment to creating more job opportunities and developing a skilled workforce in the state, particularly in relation to its upcoming industrial park project, NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP).

KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): The NCT group of companies has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Social Security Organisation (Socso) to promote employment and enhance talent acquisition in Selangor.

In a statement on Monday (May 15), NCT said the MOU demonstrates its commitment to creating more job opportunities and developing a skilled workforce in the state, particularly in relation to its upcoming industrial park project, NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP).

It said as part of the MOU, a MYFutureJobs satellite centre will be established at NSIP to provide better access to the job portal for job seekers.

It said to further facilitate the utilisation of MYFutureJobs, Socso will provide technical training for career coordinators and career consultations to job seekers through a series of engagement sessions.

In addition, various employability programmes will be available for job seekers, including workshops on employability skills, career talks by industry leaders, mock interview sessions, and sessions on building resumes and self-grooming.

NCT founder and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy said the partnership with Socso is a crucial step in achieving the goal of creating more than 50,000 job opportunities at NSIP during the construction and numerous employment opportunities for Malaysians once it is completed.

He said the collaboration is set to further strengthen the local workforce and contribute significantly to the socioeconomic growth of the region.

As ensuring workplace health and safety is the top priority at NSIP, Socso will work closely with NCT Group to promote and educate on occupational safety and health at workplace, aimed at creating a secure and supportive working environment at the facility, he said.

“By leveraging on our combined expertise and resources, we are confident that we can attract and retain top talent at NSIP and establish a sustainable talent pipeline that will benefit the project and also the broader community,” said Yap.
