PETALING JAYA (Oct 29): Penang-based developer Aspen (Group) Holdings has received the grant of approval for manufacturing license by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia (MITI) for the production of gloves.

In a media statement today, Aspen said the license, which was granted on Oct 28, 2020 will enable the company to produce nitrile and rubber medical grade examination gloves.

According to EdgeProp.my’s earlier report, the first phase of Aspen’s glove manufacturing plant will be built on an 11.87 ha land in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah — it is expected to be completed in March 2021 and production will begin in May 2021.

Meanwhile, the Singapore-listed company on Oct 27, revealed its plan to upgrade its listing from Catalist to the Singapore Mainboard.

Aspen said a listing on the Mainboard would provide the company with greater visibility in the capital markets, which could result in a larger investor base and accord the group with a wider platform and better opportunities for future fund raising.
