KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 18): Fifty-seven purchasers of a project in Taman SL ATM Perdana, Mukim Apam, Pasir Mas, Kelantan are still waiting for the homes they purchased 13 years ago.

According to a report by Harian Metro, the developers have abandoned the project.

The purchasers concerned are mostly personnel serving in the army and veterans who are still forced to pay the monthly instalment payment of RM500 and RM800 towards the purchase of the homes.

“I signed the documents in 2006 and had to spend more money renting another place because the construction of my own house was abandoned,” Mohd Reduan Ibrahim, 33, told the Malay daily.

Mohd Reduan hopes the Housing and Local Government Ministry as well as the Defence Ministry will step in to look into their plight.

Army veteran Nordin Hamat, 49, who is facing the same problem, also urged the Defence Ministry to help the purchasers.

The properties involved include 12 bungalows and 44 terraced homes.
