KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): MMC Corp Bhd said today MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd has not received any notice from Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) or the government pertaining to the termination of the Mass Rapid Transit Line 2 (MRT2) underground contract.

MMC and Gamuda each hold a 50% stake in MMC Gamuda KVMRT.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, MMC said it will make further announcement once an official notification is received from MRT Corp and/or the government.

MMC shares closed down 22 sen or 16.3% at RM1.13 today, with 4.84 million shares done, bringing a market capitalisation of RM3.44 billion. theedgemarkets.com
