PETALING JAYA (July 18): Alternative housing Razak Mas 2 needs to be completed as soon as possible, said residents of Seri Labuan PPR.

“We have lived here since 1982 so families have hugely expanded in the last three decades,” said residents’ association vice-president Maslan Anuar. The flats no longer meet the growing needs of the families, reported The Star.

Speaking at a Raya gathering hosted by the residents’ association, residents from the eight-block flats voiced their concerns.

Maslan also noted that the issue of minimal amenities was an ongoing problem.

“With only one or two rooms in each unit, it is impossible to make space for growing children,” he told The Star.

Razak Mas 2 was offered to the residents, and completion was scheduled for the end of 2020. The residential apartments comprise three rooms and two bathrooms at RM198,000 each.

“These apartments will meet our needs better. It will improve our quality of life.
“We want Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the Federal Territories Ministry to see the project through to completion,” he said.
