PETALING JAYA (Aug 24): IJM Land Bhd’s De’Bunga Residensi garden homes at Ukay Perdana, Kuala Lumpur has scooped the Best Qlassic Achievement Award 2017 in the small (less than RM20 million) residential category — the highest accolade achievable for quality — at the recent Qlassic Day 2017 awards organised by the Construction Industry Development Board on Aug 21.

The developer’s other residential developments — The Light Collection III in Penang, Seri Riana Residence in Wangsa Maju, Saujana Duta in Seremban 2 and the Fairway Golf Villas at Sebana Cove, Johor — were also recognised for their high workmanship quality under the Quality Assessment System in Construction (Qlassic) by achieving Qlassic scores of over 80%.

IJM Land managing director Edward Chong Sin Kiat said the delivery of excellence is a commitment the developer makes to all of its stakeholders, and especially its customers.

“Having their houses and investments delivered on time while maintaining the high quality of the homes is a major concern for all homebuyers, and this is something that we fully empathise with and appreciate — and it is this very sense that compels us to act responsibly by delivering on our delivery and quality promises every time.

“In our dedication towards putting customers first and serving them wholeheartedly, we adopt stringent quality checks at all stages of the construction process,” Chong said in a statement.

Qlassic is a system and method to assess and evaluate the quality of workmanship of building projects based on the Construction Industry Standard (CIS 7) and was established as a means to objectively compare the quality of workmanship between construction projects through a scoring system.
