KUALA LUMPUR (June 6): Vizione Holdings Bhd has clarified it no longer has dealings with businessman Datuk Eddie Chai Woon Chet or his group of companies.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Vizione made reference to a news article published in The Edge Weekly over the weekend, titled “Funds from illegal schemes seep into Bursa”, which had stated Chai is an executive director at Vizione.

“The company wishes to clarify that [Chai] who was an executive director of the company from May 29, 2015 to March 14, 2017, has resigned from the board on March 14 and has no involvement in the management or business of the company, either directly or indirectly.

“Since his resignation, the company no longer has any dealings with [Chai] or his group of companies, whether directly or indirectly,” said Vizione.

Vizione shares were up 0.5 sen or 4.2% to close at 12.5 sen yesterday, for a market capitalisation of RM109 million. — theedgemarkets.com
